We leave the hotel and head towards visit to watch an exciting traditional Barong and Kris Dance. Next we’ll journey to Tegenungan Waterfall, a picturesque scenic waterfall in a lush jungle setting above a shallow bathing area. Drive to Tirta Empul Temple where Balinese Hindus go for ritual purification on spring water that is considered to be holy.

Our route continues to Kintamani to visit a Coffee Plantation, for an opportunity to walk around coffee plantation and try some coffees and teas made by locals. Next, We’ll visit the highlight of the tour Kintamani Volcano to enjoy overlooking with a ribbon of black lava, running down from its peak into the valley below.

Our final stop of the tour is Tegalalang Rice Terraces to visit a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley.

Barong and Kris Dance

Barong is a character in the mythology of Bali. He is the king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good, and enemy of Rangda in the mythological traditions of Bali. Banas Pati Rajah is the fourth brotheror spirit child that accompanies a child throughout life. Banas Pati Rajah is the spirit which animates Barong. A protector spirit, he is often represented by a lion, and traditional performances of his struggles against Rangda are popular parts of Balinese culture. The Barong Dance is often portraited with two monkeys

The Barong is the magical protector of Balinese villages. As & lord of the forest with fantastic fanged mask and long mane, he is the opponent of Rangda the witch, who rules over the spirits of darkness, in the never ending fight between good and evil. During the Galungan Kuningan festivals, the Barong (there are many types, including barong ket, barong macan, and barong bangkal) wanders from door to door (nglawang) cleansing the territory of evi influences.

Barong and Kris dance like the kecak dance the Barong and Kris dance is a battle between good and evil spirit. Barong can take various forms but in this dance he takes the form of the dance Barong Keket, the most holy of the Barongs. The Barong Keket is a strange creature, half shaggy dog, half lion and is played by two men in much the same way as a circus clown-horse. His opponent is the witch Rangda.

Tegenungan Waterfall

Tirta Empul Temple

Kintamani Volcano

Located in the central highlands of Bali, Kintamani Volcano is an active volcanic masterpiece that has been astonishing travellers for decades. Surrounded by the incredible and captivating Batur range, the volcano and mountain range are collectively known as Mount Batur.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Tegalalang rice fields is a series of rice paddies located close to Ubud, in the centre of Bali, famous for its terraced layout. This is a traditional Balinese irrigation system known as subak. Positioned in a valley the Tegalalang rice terraces offer extremely scenic lookouts over the rice fields and surrounding green landscape. It’s a very popular tourist hotspot in Bali and a must-see in many Bali itineraries.
